The company is open source, and is mostly attributed to their modification of Linux for corporate use, Red Hat Enterprise Linux. They are the largest contributors to the Linux Kernel other than Intel. But this isn't all they do, founding, or aiding in the development of, or acquiring at least 55 other software projects.
